Arrived last night. Out for a dive this morning. Water was warm, but not a lot of fish. Still nice to get out. After lunch went into town to get some fast internet and a beer (wifi is free if you drink beer). All up to date. Tonight we sail
Day at Moorea. A bit rainy, but got out on a catamaran tour. Not as good as it could have been, but a good chance to see the island from the water. Anchor is up (5:30pm) and we are headed for Papeete for the evening. Interesting that they raise the
Sea day and Margarita Day (in the Pacific between Nuka Hiva and Moorea). Coffee on balcony and then breakfast. Then a swim and lecture on the upcoming ports and history of the area. Then lunch, a snooze and some reading, before margaritas. Tomorrow at noon we’ll be in Moorea, a
Arrived Saturday at 9:30. Beautiful weather, but warm today (and a lot warmer than Collingwood). The pilot boat was a lot smaller that what we had in LA, but my guess is the pilot doesn’t get a lot of work. Nuku Hiva is very mountainous due to dormant volcanoes.
Crossed equator last night about 8pm. Now have longer days with sun rise around 6 and sunset at almost 6pm. Another day of eating and reading with activities in between. Temps are over 80F, so warmer than back home. Will be in Nuku Hiva tomorrow morning around 10am. Progress has
